About: Slightly Obsessive Photography

captured shadowsI take photographs, I’ve always taken photographs. Lots of them. 70mm, 35mm, color, black and white, slide, print, the whole gamut.

I do travel a bit so I take pictures as I find them. Many times I don’t wander more than 30 yards from my front door. ‘There is never nothing going on.’; and, ‘If you take enough pictures you’re going to get a good one.’ are my watch words.

I find myself framing and shooting even when I don’t have a camera.

With the advent of the digital camera, I have become photonic fencehyper-productive. It makes a tremendous difference when you don’t have to be as concerned with developing and printing costs, exact framing and lighting, f stops and ISO settings. Ah, the freedom!

The other thing that I absolutely love about digital photography is the ease of editing and sharing the photos. While I have all of the hardware and software I need to scan photos or negatives, frankly, it’s a pain in the posterior to do so. As a consequence a great many of my photographs may never be seen by anyone beyond my immediate family and friends. Oh well…

The photos herein are but a small portion of my total output, and I will place more out here as time goes on. Check back often.

I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs. If you like you can go to the Talk to Me page and give some feedback.
